St. John's, Newfoundland 'stoner' rockers SHEAVY will enter the studio on February 16 to begin recording their new album, tentatively due later in the year. The band has written 12 new songs from the follow-up to 'Republic?', which came out in 2005 via Rise Above Records.

SHEAVY last year announced the addition of guitarist Tommy Boland to the group's ranks. A live DVD, entitled 'Sheavy at the Masonic Temple', was filmed on May 10, 2005 at the Masonic Temple Ballroom in St. John's.
