The group's first recording, a four-track mini-CD entitled 'Trident Nor Fire', will be completed in January for an April release. A full-length album is expected to be recorded before the end of 2007. The group has also scheduled severeal gigs in Belgium in February and March, to be followed by an appearance at the Doom Shall Rise festival on April 27-28 in Göppingen, Germany. THEE PLAGUE OF GENTLEMEN split up in July 2006 after the group's frontman Steve McMillan (real name: Steven Wackenier) was arrested in connection with what the rest of the Belgian doom metal band categorized as 'criminal acts that none of the members could ever imagine to happen and which are totally unacceptable.'

According to reports in the Belgian media, Steve was arrested on July 11 by the local police on charges of multiple child rape. He reportedly confessed to the rapes of four children between the ages of 5 and 7, but it is believed that more victims were involved. In addition to sexually attacking the children, Wackenier took pictures of his victims, according to a press release issued by the police.
