ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian has issued the following update:
'I've been in the studio recording and mixing Pearl's [Aday; Ian's fiancée and daughter of legendary crooner Meat Loaf] album with Joe Barresi. He's halfway through the mix. Should be done late next week. Sounds so fucking great.
'Working on ANTHRAX, working on Retox [the New York City club which was opened by Ian and club owner Mike Diamond, who started Snitch, Pangaea and Vela], boxing, etc. etc.
'Can't wait to get to Chicago in two weeks. More new ANTHRAX songs. Singer announcement end of next month. It will be in our fanclub (the CDC) first. Great chat there yesterday. It's cool to talk to people directly.

'Coen Bros. movie 'No Country For Old Men' looks amazing. Great book.
'Got my Angus SG. So killer!
'I'll be at Retox again June 14.'
ANTHRAX announced its split with vocalist Joey Belladonna in January less than two years after the group's classic lineup reunited for a '25th anniversary' tour.
