Reunited Norwegian black metallers IMMORTAL made their return to the live stage on Friday, April 6 as the headliners of this year's Inferno Festival, which took place April 5-7 at the Rockefeller Music Hall and John Dee in Oslo, Norway. Watch a dozen video clips of the band's performance on YouTube. New photos of the concert can be found at the group's official web site. Other bands that performed at the event included PRIMORDIAL, ZYKLON, SUFFOCATION, MOONSPELL, BRUTAL TRUTH, DARK FUNERAL, TIAMAT and SODOM.

An extensive report from this year's Inferno Festival — including a number of high-quality photos — is available at the Imhotep webzine.

After 13 successful years as one of the pioneers of black metal, IMMORTAL disbanded in 2003 with a legacy of seven full-length albums, including the 2002 milestone, 'Sons of Northern Darkness'. Following a long hiatus, the band decided to enter the live battlefield again.

Throughout this year, the world will experience a ferocious new IMMORTAL lineup, featuring Abbath, Horgh, and new bass player Apollyon from AURA NOIR.
